Privacy Policy for Pi Dashboard

Pi Dashboard is a personal, non-commercial dashboard that runs locally on a Raspberry Pi owned and controlled by its user.

Google Calendar data accessed

After the user explicitly authorizes Google Calendar access, Pi Dashboard requests only these read-only Google Calendar permissions:

• View the user’s calendar list.
• View events in calendars that the user can access.

To display the schedule, Pi Dashboard may process calendar names, event titles, dates and times, descriptions, locations, organizer and attendee information, conferencing links, RSVP information, and configured event reminders.

How data is used

Google Calendar data is used only to display the owner’s selected Calendar information on the local Pi Dashboard screen and to provide local event reminders. Pi Dashboard does not modify Google Calendar events.

Storage and sharing

OAuth session data and a local Calendar cache are stored only on the owner’s Raspberry Pi in private operating-system directories. Pi Dashboard does not upload Calendar data to a separate application server, sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties.

Retention and deletion

Calendar cache data remains on the Raspberry Pi until it is replaced during a later sync or removed by the owner. The owner may revoke Google access at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions and may remove the local Pi Dashboard configuration and cache from the device.

Security

The Raspberry Pi keeps its application configuration and cached data in private user directories. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, but Pi Dashboard is designed to keep this data local to the owner’s device.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if Pi Dashboard’s data practices change. The current version will be posted on this page.
